ALBANY, GA (WALB) – As you get ready to sink your teeth into some good Superbowl treats Sunday there are some ways to stay healthy.
Health experts say instead of heavy foods you can try fruit, vegetables, or plant based options.
To keep yourself from over eating they advise to eat before the party.
One of the best ways to stay healthy they say, is to not stay away from not so healthy foods altogether, but to eat them in small portions.
“I would really encourage people that are already following specific restrictions for different health conditions that they would continue to follow those same diet restrictions,” said Laura Snyder, UHC Dir. of of Health Strategies.
United Healthcare says another healthy option is to focus on high fiber foods, as they’re more filling.
Experts say find a little time to exercise and get active while watching the game too.
